Disease relevance of Arkofix

• In protocol C (n = 11), during ischemia, a 31 +/- 3.3% (P < .02) contrast was evident between the ischemic and nonischemic myocardial regions [1].
• Protocol C prevented reperfusion ventricular fibrillation, but not stunning (p = ns vs. control) [2].

• Radiotherapy was administered to a total target dose of 46 Gy; of which 30 Gy was administered preoperatively in the first two protocols (A and B), while the whole dose was given preoperatively in the third protocol (C) [18].
