  • Primer extension analysis showed that OccR protein represses the occR gene and both represses and activates the occQ operon, which is divergently transcribed from occR [1].
  • The other two occR mutations cause the protein to detect much lower concentrations of octopine than wild-type OccR protein does [2].
  • We propose the names nocR and occR for the regulator genes in the noc and in the occ regions [3].
