Associations of Ovulation Induction with chemical compounds

  • Twenty-nine patients underwent 33 ovarian stimulation cycles with either tamoxifen 60 mg/d alone (Tam-IVF) or in combination with low-dose follicle-stimulating hormone (TamFSH-IVF) or letrozole 5 mg in combination with FSH (Letrozole-IVF) [26].
  • Multiple follicular development during ovarian stimulation associated with increased plasma E2 concentration (mean peak plasma E2 level, 2430 +/- 428 pg/mL, range 1630-3840 pg/mL) were observed in each woman [27].
  • To investigate the degree to which endogenous increases in estradiol (E2) and progesterone (P4) are associated with changes in the renin system, we studied eight patients undergoing ovarian stimulation for in vitro fertilization (FSH/human menopausal gonadotropin or clomiphene citrate for 5-11 days, followed by hCG) [28].
  • Estradiol- and progesterone-related increases in the renin-aldosterone system: studies during ovarian stimulation and early pregnancy [28].
  • Ovarian suppression was carried out with leuprolide acetate (1 mg, sc) daily until the serum estradiol level was 30 pg/mL and was continued thereafter during ovarian stimulation with im human menopausal gonadotropin or FSH [29].
