WikiGenes applies the Creative Commons Attribution License (CCAL, http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/) to all information published on the WikiGenes site by registered authors. Under the CCAL, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their contributions, but authors allow anyone to download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy contributions, so long as the original authors and sources are cited. No permission is required from the authors or WikiGenes.This broad license was developed to facilitate open access to, and free use of, original works of all types. Applying this standard license to your own work will ensure your right to make your work freely and openly available, which will ultimately increase the visibility and impact of your work. Attribution
Appropriate attribution can be provided by citing a stable version of a collaborative article in WikiGenes. A stable link can be obtained by selecting 'Permanent link' in the context menu of an article.e.g. Osborne, J. et al. www.wikigenes.org/e/gene/e/6531.html?vs=1
If the item you plan to reuse is not part of a collaborative article, then please indicate the originator of the work, and the volume, issue and date of the journal in which the item appeared.
