High impact information on dihydroxy-dimethyl-silane

The two major metabolites, constituting 75 to 85% of the total radioactivity, were identified as dimethylsilanediol [Me(2)Si(OH)(2)] and methylsilanetriol [MeSi(OH)(3)] [1].
The primary hydrolysis product, dimethylsilanediol (DMSD), is then either biodegraded, or evaporated into the atmosphere, where it is subsequently oxidised in the presence of sunlight [2].
