High impact information on chlorpheniramine

  • Here we report for the first time that a protein, identified by a monoclonal antibody to be the Mt heat shock protein (Baird, P.N., L.M. Hall, and A.R.M. Coates. 1989. J. Gen. Microbiol. 135:931-939) chaperonin (cpn) 10, is responsible for the osteolytic activity of this bacterium [6].
  • Supine diastolic blood-pressure rose to 100 mm Hg or more in 12 out of 37 subjects taking an anorectic preparation ('Trimolets'; 85 mg phenylpropanolamine per capsule) and in 4 out of 34 subjects taking a decongestant preparation ('Contac 500'; 50 mg phenylpropanolamine per capsule) [7].
  • It is believed that the phenylpropanolamine component of Ornade stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors at the vesical neck and in the proximal urethra to achieve the therapeutic effect of reducing or eliminating stress urinary incontinence [1].
  • It is well known that in the fully developed allergic contac reaction a marked cellular infiltrate takes place in the upper corium and epidermis [8].
