Disease relevance of isocyanatoethane

Of the isocyanates, bone marrow toxicity was highest with chloroethyl isocyanate and cyclohexyl isocyanate, intermediate with ethyl isocyanate, and lowest with KOCN and ethyl isothiocyanate [1].

A method is presented for the determination of low molecular weight aliphatic isocyanates, methyl isocyanate (MIC), ethyl isocyanate (EIC), propyl isocyanate (PIC) and butyl isocyanate (BIC), as their dibutylamine (DBA) derivatives [2].
Aminofentanyl has also been successfully acylated with ethyl isocyanate, various acid anhydrides, to further investigate structure-activity relationships of these new fentanyl derivatives [3].
