The interferon-gamma receptor gene was detected in the rat hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN), the main pacemaker for circadian rhythms, and the molecular identity of the transcript was confirmed by sequencing [1].
Constitutive expression of the interferon-gamma receptor protein (IFN-gammaR), and the distribution of cells in which Fos, a marker of cell activation, is induced by intracerebroventricular administration of IFN-gamma, were studied in the rat brain by immunohistochemistry [2].
Nitric oxide synthase and interferon-gamma receptor immunoreactivities in relation to ascending spinal pathways to thalamus, hypothalamus, and the periaqueductal grey in the rat [3].
On the basis of the previous observations it was hypothesized that the interferon-gamma receptor (IFNgamma r) and the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSF receptor) would be localized in specific sites in the cells of the enamel organ during early amelogenesis [4].
