High impact information on AT3G25980
- MAD2 locates at spindle-unattached kinetochores during prophase and dissolves from spindle-attached kinetochores towards metaphase [1].
- We generated antibodies against the polypeptides with amino acid sequences derived from the cDNA sequences of the wheat MAD2 homologues [1].
- Thus, the wheat MAD2 protein could be a good marker for the functional kinetochores of metaphase chromosomes in wheat [1].
- Using these antibodies, we found MAD2 in wheat root-tip cells to change in location and amount through the cell cycle, similar to those reported for human MAD2 [1].
