High impact information on COS1

Biological context of COS1

  • The introduction into COS1 and NIH3T3 animal cultured cells by conventional transfection was easily detected by fluorescence of the GFP gene product under a fluorescent microscope and the transfectants were effectively selected by the Neor marker [4].
  • These observations suggest that iprodione and fludioxonil interfere with the CaNIK1/COS1 signal transduction pathway, resulting in glycerol synthesis stimulation and the inhibition of hyphal formation [5].

Anatomical context of COS1

  • We have developed a mammalian cell (COS-1) bioassay, which can measure androgen bioactivity directly from a small amount (10 microL) of human serum [6].
  • Further support for a biologic interaction was the marked redistribution in cellular localization of UnpEL following cotransfection of the two proteins into cultured human cardiocytes, human renal carcinoma cells (293 cells), and monkey kidney fibroblasts (COS-1) [7].

Associations of COS1 with chemical compounds

  • In contrast, C. albicans has three histidine kinase genes, namely CaSLN1, CaNIK1/COS1, and CaHK1, the null mutants of which were found to impair the hyphal formation [5].
