Disease relevance of ECs5104

We report here that E. coli fumarase A, fumarase B, and aconitase are also inactivated in vivo by hyperbaric O2 [1].

These are fumarate reductase (encoded by the frdABCD operon), fumarase B, which generates fumarate from malate, and the DcuB permease for fumarate, malate, and aspartate [2].
