Clinical and circulatory effects of oral isosorbide dinitrate in patients with angina during exercise.

Isosorbide dinitrate was given orally to 6 patients with anginal pain on exertion and its effect on exercise capacity, ECG and other hemodynamic parameters was compared with the control values and with the results of a group of 6 patients who received a placebo. The drug seems to affect favourably the working capacity and the ECG on exercise for a longer period than NTG while we do not observe a placebo effect.[1]
