Determination of phenylpropionic acid in fermentation medium by chromatographic techniques.

Phenylpropionic acid was determined in the fermentation medium by gas chromatography using an internal standard and by reversed phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The two methods were evaluated by using the standard quantitative criteria employed in analytical chemistry.[1]
