No crossover reactions to citalopram or paroxetine among patients hypersensitive to zimeldine.

Five patients who reacted with the hypersensitive syndrome to zimeldine showed no reaction to one of two other selective 5-HT reuptake inhibitors, citalopram or paroxetine. This further strengthens the impression that the mechanism for the hypersensitivity syndrome induced by zimeldine does not seem to be related primarily to the 5-HT reuptake inhibition as such.[1]
