Influence of two quinolones, ofloxacin and pefloxacin, on human myelopoiesis in vitro.

The influence of ofloxacin and pefloxacin on human myelopoiesis in vitro was investigated. Drug concentrations varied from 0.5 to 50 micrograms/ml, and the effect on granulomonocyte precursors was evaluated on cell cultures in agar. Our results indicate that ofloxacin and pefloxacin do not induce inhibition of myelopoiesis.[1]
