Depressant effect of forskolin on spontaneous locomotor activity in mice.

Forskolin, an activator of adenylate cyclase, depressed spontaneous locomotor activity when injected intracerebroventricularly into mice in doses of 10 and 100 micrograms. The findings suggest that increases in brain cAMP levels may be associated with a reduction in excitability.[1]
