Acute cytogenetic effects of potassium bromate on rat bone marrow cells in vivo.

The acute cytogenetic effects of potassium bromate (KBrO3) on rat bone marrow cells in vivo were studied. The incidence of chromosome aberrations in bone marrow cells increased rapidly, reaching a maximum level 12 h after intraperitoneal injection and decreased within 24 h. Dose-response relationships were obtained for both intraperitoneal and oral administrations.[1]
