The use of reference levels in the dose limitation procedure.

In this paper the use of reference levels for occupational exposures and for exposures to enhanced natural radiation are compared and related with the annual dose limits. It is concluded that the ICRP recommendations on action levels of indoor exposures to radon and thoron and daughter nuclides suggest a stricter dose limitation for occupational exposures than for exposure of the population to enhanced natural radiation.[1]
