ICRF 159 plus radiation versus radiation therapy alone in cervical carcinoma. A double-blind study.

In a double-blind trial the effect of ICRF 159 or placebo associated with radiotherapy was compared in 70 patients with cervical carcinoma. No significant differences were found on histopathological examination of surgical specimens obtained 6 weeks after the end of the treatment. Clinical evaluation after a follow-up of 46 +/- 5 months, also showed no significant effect of ICRF 159 with radiotherapy.[1]
