A discussion of "The Role of Primal Scene and Masochism in Asthma," by Cecilia Karol, M.D. Dr. Karol has described a relationship between primal scene experience, sadomasochism, and asthma. While her clinical material strongly supports the relationship that she is attempting to prove, other researchers have found different conflicts that appear equally convincing in relationship to asthma.
