Radiotherapy of midline malignant reticulosis.
The results of radiotherapy made on 23 patients with midline malignant reticulosis showed that the 1-, 3-, 5- and 8-year survival rates were 91.3%, 63.2%, 50.0% and 40.0%, respectively. The optimum radiation dose was 50-60 Gy / 5-6 weeks. Chemotherapy with CCNU following the radiotherapy facilitated the healing of lesion, reduced local recurrence and distant metastasis, improved the therapeutic effect and raised the survival rate.[1]References
