Cloning and sequencing of a cDNA encoding the murine vitamin K-dependent protein S.

A cDNA clone encoding the vitamin K-dependent protein S was isolated from a murine liver cDNA library. Sequencing revealed an open reading frame encoding a 634 amino acid mature protein. Comparison to human and bovine sequences showed a high degree of similarity and the conservation of key residues between the species.[1]
