Excessive alcohol ingestion is a recognized cause of reversible dilated cardiomyopathy. A case is reported of dilated cardiomyopathy associated with excessive alcohol consumption that was remarkable with respect to the rapidity and extent of normalization in left ventricular systolic function after cessation of alcohol consumption.[1]
