The human homolog of the myeloproliferative virus maps to chromosome band 1p34.

The human homologue of the recently isolated myeloproliferative leukemia virus, a retrovirus that induces myeloproliferative disorder in mouse, has been mapped in man to chromosome band 1p34 by in situ hybridization.[1]
