High impact information on CCDC30

  • We report here a novel gene, the PFD6-like gene (CCDC30), which encodes a PED domain and a SPEC repeat domain, located on human chromosome 1p33–1p34, and is mainly expressed in adult human brain, kidney, and pancreas. Bioinformatic analysis suggests that it may be a new cytoskeletal element functionally associated with the filament motor system of the cytoskeleton. [1]
