Prospective studies of dietary vitamin D and breast cancer: more questions raised than answered.

Prospective studies suggest that dietary vitamin D may at least modestly reduce the risk of breast cancer. This review addresses issues raised by recent studies, including differences in findings related to dietary source of vitamin D, menopausal status, and tumor characteristics. It also discusses the optimal timing of vitamin D assessment.[1]
