Glomerular dynamics.
The kidney glomerulus produces an essentially protein-free filtrate of blood that is converted to urine as it traverses the remainder of the nephron. Recent studies, largely carried out in animals, have provided new information on the determinants of glomerular function. These findings, briefly summarized herein, are also related to clinical conditions.[1]References
