Disease relevance of Mis2

Using cellular sequences flanking a provirus cloned from one of these tumors, we found one region, designated Mis-2, which was the target of provirus integration in a low (3%) percentage of these tumors [1].

In addition, another previously identified provirus insertion site, Mis-2, was found to map within the 16th intron of the Ahi-1 gene [2].
Mis-2 was mapped on mouse chromosome 10, approximately 160 kbp downstream of myb [1].
