  • The degree of amino acid identity between B virus and HSV proteins ranged from 26.6% (US5) to 87.7% (US15) [1].
  • We also showed that MDV possessed a homologue of HSV-1 gD which is lacking in varicella-zoster virus (VZV) but that MDV probably lacked homologues of US4 and US5 of HSV-1 [2].
