Disease relevance of RAB18

High impact information on RAB18

Biological context of RAB18

  • Here we report a splice variant of RAB18, which is 2571 bp in length and has an open reading frame coding a predicted 235 amino-acids protein [5].
  • Electron microscopic studies revealed that rab18 and rab20 are located in apical dense tubules, endocytic structures underlying the apical plasma membrane, suggesting that they play a role in apical endocytosis/recycling [3].
