A favorable effect of the CSN3 B(IEF) variant was found for both protein and casein percentages, with a codominance trend for the 3 phenotypes: BB > AB > AA [1].
On the one hand, the physico-chemical measures of interactions of signal peptides of casein beta and alpha s2 confirm their mutual genetic relationship, and on the other hand they show the divergence of casein beta and alpha s2 from casein kappa signal peptide [2].
The obtained nucleotide sequence contained an ORF sufficient to encode the entire amino acid sequence of a kappa-casein precursor protein consisting of 182 amino acids [3].
