Disease relevance of recA

  • The highest identity was found with RecA of Legionella pneumophila, in which 69% of the residues were identical [1].
  • The larger of these two proteins shared 70.4% and 74.6% identity with the E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa RecA proteins, respectively [2].
