Upregulation of thyroid hormone receptor beta 1 and beta 2 messenger RNA in the myocardium of dogs with dilated cardiomyopathy or chronic valvular disease [1].

High impact information on THR

Thyroid hormone receptor beta 1 mRNA was upregulated approximately threefold, and TR beta 2 mRNA was upregulated approximately eightfold in myocardium of dogs with DCM and CVD, compared with clinically normal dogs [1].
Currently, in veterinary surgery, THR and femoral head and neck excision are the primary treatments for OA of the coxofemoral joint [2].
