Analysis of the rates of inactivation of OM PLA by hexadecanesulfonyl fluoride in vesicles composed of various phospholipids indicated that activation of the enzyme by membrane-perturbing peptides can be accurately quantified with this affinity label [2].
The hydropathy profile of the deduced amino acid sequence of DR-phospholipase A was studied [3].
On the same hybrid plasmid another gene (pld A) coding for detergent-resistant phospholipase A (DR-phospholipase A) was also identified [4].
