Response of glassy-cell carcinoma of the cervix to cisplatin, epirubicin, and mitomycin C.

Among patients with uterine cervical cancer, glassy-cell carcinoma is very rare. The disease occurs mainly in younger patients, is rapidly progressive, and has a poor prognosis. We describe a case of glassy-cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix, in which preoperative intra-arterial chemotherapy was surprisingly effective.[1]
