Cloning of rat lymphocyte activation gene-3 ( Lag3; CD223) cDNA and its mRNA expression in rat tissues.

Rat lymphocyte activation gene-3 ( Lag3; CD223) cDNA contains an open reading frame (1575 bp) encoding 525 amino acids. Rat Lag3 mRNA transcript was detected as a single species of approximately 2 kb from phytohemagglutinin (PHA)-stimulated lymphocytes. Further analysis revealed that rat Lag3 mRNA was mainly expressed in lymphoid tissues.[1]
