The generation of aerosols of carcinogenic aromatic amines.

A system for producing test atmospheres of carcinogenic aromatic amines is discussed. The aerosol generator, a specially disigned compressed-gas nebulizer, operated at a temperature above each compound's melting point utlizing nitrogen as the driving force. The nebulizer output and size distributions of aerosols of 4,4'-methylenebis(2-chloroaniline) (MOCA), benzidine, and 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine are given.[1]
