Follicular stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone and estrogen levels before and after female sterilization.

A prospective pilot investigation of 14 women subjected to sterilization via laparoscopy, using bipolar electrocoagulation of the Fallopian tubes, did not reveal any significant change in the levels of follicular stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) or estradiol either before or 3 months after the operation. However, the investigation gave evidence of a slight decrease in estradiol levels in the first 3 months after sterilization.[1]
