Oocyte lamin LII was detectable in nuclear envelopes of early cleavage embryos [1].
Immunoblotting of fractionated egg extracts revealed that approximately 20-23% of lamin LII and 5-7% of lamin LIII were membrane associated [1].
Similar to lamin LII, 5-15% of lamin LI is associated with egg membranes in a biochemically stable manner [2].
