Disease relevance of Anatomy

In three patients whose cardiac anatomies were completely normal, we determined protein-C deficiency as an etiological factor of thrombus formation [1].

We observed several patients with distorted cardiac and valvular anatomies on electron beam CT (EBCT) images of the chest who reported symptoms reminiscent of MVP [2].
For gadolinium-based contrast, performance was optimized with tungsten filtration at 90 kVp for both thin and thick anatomies [3].
