Isochromosome 11q in a case of acute myelomonocytic leukemia FAB type M4.

The clinical and cytogenetic findings in a 42-year-old female with acute myelomonocytic leukemia (AMMoL) were reported. At diagnosis, cytogenetic studies of bone marrow cells revealed the karyotype 45; XX, +8, -11, -17, -18, +i (11q). To our knowledge, this is the second case of AMMoL with i(11q) in the literature.[1]
