Accidental hydrofluoric acid burns of the hand.

A case report of accidental hydrofluoric acid burns that involve dermal tissue of the hand is presented. Prompt medical treatment for this accident resulted in minimal disfigurement and minimal paresthesia and disability. Protocols for essential treatment and precautions for personnel working in dental laboratories where hydrofluoric acid is used have been discussed.[1]
