Topical intranasal corticosteroid therapy in rhinitis.
This paper reviews the current clinical information on the newer corticosteroid aerosols used in the management of rhinitis: beclomethasone dipropionate, flunisolide, fluocortin butylester, budesonide, and triamcinolone acetonide. Discussed are their pharmacologic properties, including our most recent understanding of their possible mode of action, comparative efficacy to other agents, indications, side effects, and general educational principles regarding their use.[1]References
