Disease relevance of pridinol

It was found that pridinol mesylate significantly reduced the contracture of the extensor lumbar muscles in low back pain when given per os or parenterally [1].
In rats receiving taurine in a dose of 450 micrograms, not influencing catalepsy, with low doses of anticholinergic antiparkinsonian agents (trihexyphenidyl and pridinol) strong anticataleptic effect was observed [2].
