Disease relevance of BMEI1549

High impact information on BMEI1549

  • We have previously produced and characterized four monoclonal antibodies to the Brucella DnaK protein which were derived from mice infected with B. melitensis or immunized with the B. melitensis cell wall fraction [1].
  • However, in subcellular fractions the DnaK protein was predominantly found in the cell envelope fraction of B. melitensis, which could perhaps be due to interaction of the DnaK protein with membrane proteins [2].
