High impact information on MYO1C

  • A second widely distributed myosin I molecule similar to myr 1 and brush border myosin I, called myr 2, has now been identified [1].
  • In subcellular fractionation experiments myr 1 and myr 2 were both partly soluble and partly associated with smooth membranes of medium density [1].
  • The screen identified interactions involving c-Cbl and two 14-3-3 isoforms, cytokeratin 18, human unconventional myosin IC, and a recently identified SH3 domain containing protein, SH3 P17 [2].
