  • Western blot analysis revealed a decrease of the 20 kDa subunit (likely ND6) and of the 30 kDa subunit (NDUFA9), which is probably due to instability attributed to the inability to form subcomplexes with ND3 [1].
  • To study the ability of mitochondrial biogenesis in human granulosa cells, we determined the mitochondrial marker proteins, including the nuclear-encoded NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase alpha subunit 9 (NDUFA9) and mitochondrial-encoded COX I, after treatment of the cells with the calcium ionophore A23187 [2].
