Genetic analysis of essential genes in the ftsE region of the Escherichia coli genetic map and identification of a new cell division gene, ftsS [1].

High impact information on ftsX

Complementation tests indicated the presence of a promoter within ftsY required for expression of ftsE and ftsX [2].
We determined the relative positions of most of these genes and show that the rpoH gene lies immediately downstream of the last gene (ftsX) of a cell division operon and is transcribed in the same direction [3].
