Disease relevance of Weil Disease

We describe the successful medical treatment of invasive aspergillosis in a patient suffering from Weil's disease with a combined therapy based on amphotericin B lipid complex and voriconazole [1].

High impact information on Weil Disease

Although most common in the tropics, an increasing number of cases is reported in Europe and Northern America. Severe forms referred to as Weil's disease commonly involve kidneys, liver, lungs, CNS and heart and require early recognition and immediate initiation of adequate therapy [2].
