LRP 1 B functions as a receptor for Pseudomonas exotoxin.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen that produces several virulence factors, among them Pseudomonas Exotoxin A (PE). Previously, low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP 1) was shown to be the primary receptor for PE. In this report, we show that a close family member, LRP 1B, can also function as a receptor.[1]
